Cadenzas of Hong Kong 2.0
Call-for-Works
The Hong Kong Composers' Guild and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra jointly present “Cadenzas of Hong Kong 2.0” again in 2025/26, using the enchanting sounds of Chinese music to narrate Hong Kong stories. In addition to the open call for compositions, the concert has commissioned three renowned local composers — Chan Wing-wah, Alfred Wong, and Hui Cheung-wai — to create brand-new musical works. This collaboration brings together composers from different generations, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas through notes and melodies.

Esteemed composer Chen Ning-chi passed away on 18 March 2025. The Hong Kong Composers' Guild expresses profound sorrow over this loss and extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Chen's family during this difficult time.
